Multi Trade Technician

Carillion Plc. have a large building services contract with the National Offenders Management Service at a site in New Market (CB8). This can be a challenging environment, however due to the high demand of work this could be a long term opportunity for the right candidates.

POSITION: Multi-Trade Technician

LOCATION: Milton Keynes(MK4)

HOURS OR WORK: Monday to Friday (approx. 40 hours per week)
Candidates must be prepared to be on-call 1 weekend out of 3

RATE OF PAY: 12.44 to 15.39 depending on pay route
+ overtime rates/weekend rates

All positions are on-going but temporary with a view to going permanent for the right candidates

Working in a challenging prison setting, completing planned preventative maintenance, ad hoc call-outs and various building fabric projects within the area to a agreed standard and timeframe

Minor Plumbing, Minor Electrics, Joinery & Fabric maintenance, HVAC Knowledge
Responding to ad hoc faults through the helpdesk in a timely manner, making sure that any faults are made safe
carrying out and logging of planned maintenance tasks
Help organising, preparation and completion of maintenance projects around site
Keeping up with service level agreements within a very client centred environment
Reporting any health and safety issues on site using Carillion's 'Don't Walk By' procedure
Role likely to involve some heavy lifting

All candidates must have a trades background (Minor Plumbing, Minor Electrics, Joinery & Fabric maintenance, HVAC Knowledge etc.)
Ideally the candidate will be qualified in at least one trade (preferably NVQ level 3)but can prove their competence in other areas through work history
All candidates must have some maintenance/FM experience within a large commercial setting

Due to the nature of this site, all candidates must be prepared to go through a thorough vetting process to include a background check (DBS/formally CRB accurate background check
