Benefit to Workers/Contractors
Workers/Contractors may refrain from discussing health and safety issues with the client for a number of reasons. These include:
- Being afraid to speak to the client for fear of being reprimanded.
- Fear of not being offered work in the future.
- Fear of not being listened to
If a candidate feels threatened into performing an unsafe act they can approach and speak to a member of the Worker Engagement team. All issues will be treated sensitively and with the utmost confidentiality. Anyone, regardless of their level can contact The Worker Engagement Team if they believe they are not being listened to in regards to safety, diversity or equality and can be assured that their concerns will be investigated.
