International Recruitment for the Rail industry

SkyBlue worked with a leading rail client to sources qualified rail engineers from South Africa, to overcome a severe skills shortage in the UK. Over a 2-week period we interviewed 130 engineers, with a broad spectrum of experience and all HND or degree qualified. As a result, 52 job offers were made, for positions that are notoriously difficult to fill in the UK.

Our international team checked references, arranged work permits and medicals, supported candidates with relocation and helped our client run a 2-day familiarisation course in the UK for new arrivals. Our aim is to make recruiting overseas as cost effective and easy as the UK.
