Resignalling at Norton Bridge

Rail project

SkyBlue Rail supplied skilled labour to complete a new signalling system on the busy West Coast Mainline at Norton Bridge in Staffordshire. From 2002 until 2004 we worked closely with five alliance partners to plan, co-ordinate and manage the on-track teams.

In providing continuity of management and teams, we were also able to contribute to the on-time completion of the project. SkyBlue Rail developed new market leading safety, risk minimisation and training systems, effectively creating a professional culture of zero tolerance to un-safe practices.

we delivered:

  • 240 track personnel to carry out a variety of works, including
    • cable installation troughing
    • signal base and signals renewals
    • under track crossing
    • permanent way
    • civil engineering
