Living the Values

One exemplary Associate’s ‘don’t walk by’ attitude certainly didn’t go unnoticed by the Carillion group recently.

Bob Jarvis received a ‘Living the Values Award’ for his actions when faced with a Road Rail Trailer, which had been supplied without the correct documentation.

Whilst acting as a Machine Controller on behalf of Carillion Rail and in compliance with COP0014, Bob refused to clear the trailer for use and alerted the Carillion Supervisor to the problem.

The Award forms part of a much wider group health and safety initiative – ‘Target Zero’, which is designed to raise awareness and reduce the number of accidents within the workplace.
