Clause 106

There’s 106 reasons SkyBlue is recognised as a leader in today’s recruitment business.

As the first nationally operating firm to receive the Recruitment & Employment Confederation’s Diversity Assured Accreditation, SkyBlue are able to comply with the demanding Clause 106 of the latest Government employment legislation.

Clause 106 requires companies to recruit from specific demographic or groups of people in the UK for a public sector project and demonstrate how they went about recruiting them. Failure to comply would automatically mean the failure of a tender.

Previously, businesses didn’t need to say how or where they would recruit workers, but Clause 106 requires a significant change in recruitment procedures on Government contracts.

Individual companies do not have relationships in place to achieve this, but this can jeopardising their chances of winning work.

Through partnerships we have built up, however, SkyBlue has the capability to fulfil this Clause for its clients no matter how specific the labour requirements are. Whether 10% of the workforce on a project needs to be from a particular postcode, or 50 people need to be brought in from an ethnic background, SkyBlue has both the experience and resources to achieve this.
