SkyBlue has been awarded Investors in People (IiP) status for the fourth consecutive time.

A former part of the Department for Education and Employment (DfEE), IiP was formed to help improve people’s working lives.

In order to meet the IiP standard, members and associates of SkyBlue were vigorously assessed over a three day period.

The assessment report highlighted a number of successful areas of the business, which confirms SkyBlue’s place at the forefront of the recruitment industry.

These included well structured and clear strategies and operational business planning processes with mechanisms to ensure all people within the organisation understand how they contribute to individual, team and organisational development.

The Report says: “There is an established SMART business planning and performance improvement cycle in place throughout SkyBlue.”

The report also points out the high working standards ‘start at the top’ with managers being ‘consistent in their behaviours and offering good support when needed’. This positively affects individuals and associates throughout the business.

Alan Hayward, General Manager at SkyBlue said: "We're delighted to have achieved the current IiP standard, which is reviewed every three years to ensure that it remains relevant, accessible and attractive to all.

"Thank you to everyone involved in the assessment process. Without you it wouldn't have been possible."

The standard also indicates areas which can be further developed, thus helping SkyBlue to maintain its market leading position.

As well as the overall positive review, David Blunt and Julie Lewis, Assessors from IiP, concluded, “The excellence of the process for the recruitment and retention of good people” and “the positive working relationships and a ‘can do’ attitude emanates from the top down.”
