Dave Massingham

Equality & Diversity Manager

David started his employment with Carillion, then Tarmac in 1979 as a General Operative and progressed to the position of Works Manager. Prior to his secondment to the Carillion SkyBlue business in 2003 he had 20 years experience in the supervision and management of construction schemes, mainly on highways and major projects.

Diversity Champions

A Champion is a representative of equality and diversity in each SkyBlue branch and reports directly to Dave Massingham, SkyBlue Equality & Diversity Manager regarding their branch’s efforts to get involved with local initiatives to give local people, local jobs.

Each of SkyBlue’s 13 nationwide branches has an assigned Diversity Champion. This person, from a Resourcer to a Consultant or a Team Leader, has been trained by our Equality & Diversity Manager on the current recruitment legislation and regulations; as well as in-depth knowledge on the topic of equality & diversity.

Our five day in-branch; and three day, head-office inductions also cover this theme and all permanent employees are mandated to attend.

The Diversity Champions play a vital role in building cohesive, long-lasting relationships with their clients, to embrace and deliver diversity in the workplace. The role was set up to provide a route to delivering and implementing our diversity and equality strategy at a local level and across the UK.
