LEP

Our entire branch network has now entered into a national Local Employment Partnership (LEP) with Jobcentre Plus.  The Partnership sees SkyBlue work in alliance with Jobcentre Plus to help disadvantaged / under represented people in the communities our branch network serve, to find new, local job opportunities.

Under the Partnership, SkyBlue also maximises training and employment opportunities for local people by delivering (amonst many other schemes):

  •  2 -4 week work trials
  • a target number of placements for new participants
  • working with Jobcentre Plus and the Learning Skills Council on the design of pre-employment training
  • working in partnership with Jobcentre Plus to review our application processes to ensure that disadvantaged/underrepresented groups of people have access to the same jobs as mainstream groups
