At SkyBlue we work hand in hand with many partners to make what we believe to be achievable - happen:
Jobcentre Plus – a government agency supporting people from welfare into work.
SkyBlue is the first employer within its sector to sign a Local Employment Partnership Agreement with Jobcentre Plus. Working with Jobcentre Plus to reduce poverty in the UK by increasing job opportunities for those disadvantages / underrepresented in the labour market Jobcentre Plus has appointed a National Account Manager to work alongside SkyBlue at both a strategic and operation level to drive this agenda forward
Shaw Trust - a national charity that provides training and work opportunities to people who are disadvantaged in the workplace due to ill health, disability or social circumstane.
LEAP - Charity that offers a professional service to its clients from the hardest to reach areas of the community to find sustainable work.
Remploy – An organisation that gives disabled people support to find employment.
SkyBlue is currently working with Remploy to train and place suitable candidates into the rail renewals industry. At present we have helped over 80 people with disabilities gain employment in the South Wales area. SkyBlue is now working with Remploy to replicate this partnership in other areas of the UK where there is a SkyBlue presence.
Train’d Up – Train’d Up will work to remove any barriers which might deter people from applying to Train’d Up, either as staff or learner / customers. Train’d Up aims to provide an inclusive environment which values diversity and maintains a working, learning and social environment in which the rights and dignity of all its staff and learner / customers are respected to assist them in reaching their full potential.
SkyBlue collaborated with Trainedup to re-train and place redundant Rover and Land Rover workers into the rail industry.
BAOH – an organisation that helps homeless people to find employment and achieve independent living.
National Probation Service - The National Probation Service (NPS) has brought fresh aims and duties for probation, it has accelerated the development of effective ways of working with offenders and it has created new central and local structures.
YSS - 'YSS is an independent charity, providing a wide range of innovative support services for over 2000 young people a year who are at risk of social exclusion.'
Thorne Cross Y.O.I - The Regime at Thorn Cross provides for a wide range of training and education courses. The emphasis of these courses is to link to either employment or training opportunities on release, while also addressing individual Skills for Life needs. Courses offered include Construction Crafts, Motor Vehicles, Horticultural courses, Hospitality and Catering and Rail Construction NVQ Level 2. Thorn Cross has a number of partnerships with national and local employers which offer opportunities for work placements prior to and on release.
NET Ambitions - Newco Products has been supporting disabled people since 1922 and continues to do so through its businesses and through its training department.Newco Employment and Training (NET) have been successfully training candidates in a number of qualifications as well as finding them sustainable employment. NET is unique because we offer the candidate and the employer continuous support. All NET staff are experienced in meeting the requirements of people with disabilities or health conditions.
Seetec - Seetec is one of the uk's leading providers of Government employment and training programmes and the developer of Provider Enterprise, a versatile learner management and reporting system.
